Mass Casualty Incidents

Every semester BYU EMS participates in MCI (mass casualty incident) drills to help them prepare for whatever emergency situation may come their way.

Volunteer to be a patient

Our training drills wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of countless volunteers who take on the roles of simulated patients and victims. These volunteers help our EMTs practice vital skills in triage, transport, and treatment. We also collaborate closely with a talented makeup team, who generously donate their time to create realistic moulage injuries for our actors.

Please be advised: the simulated injuries are highly realistic and may have a psychological impact on participants—exercise caution as needed.

If you’re interested in volunteering as a patient for one of our MCI drills, please contact our Events Supervisor,

Connor Rich, at 917-455-4090.
